HI my name is Janice hall I have a 13 yr old son who suffers post traumatic stress disorder, depression, panic and anxiety. he has self harmed twice and just recently I was faced to find a suicide note from my son. children's mental health is a very close subject to my heart, it is disgusting that out of hours there's no emergency service for these children/young people. On the 1st of March my friends son who was just 20 yrs old hung himself, he to suffered with depression but as far as I'm concerned was just left to get on with it. I've had to fight anyone and everyone for my son to get help, but there's not enough help available at all. if I had a cpn I could phone them 24 hrs a day and they would be there. where as if my son or other peoples children needed help there's no available. Surely children/young people are just as important as adults? I've tried most TV shows to get childhood mental heath talked about yet nobody seems willing to do it. I will do whatever it takes to get childhood mental health talked about, understood and help available at all times. I only hope the bill is changed in favour of these children/ young people to many have taken there own lives already. I've started a petition online my link is ....... http://www.PetitionOnline.com/janice74/petition.html I need everyone's help to get my petition signed by as many people has I can. I want help available 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for every child/young person who has any mental health issue illness etc in the whole of England and Wales. Also for mental health to be spoke about in school's like sex education is, its just as important and it needs to be understood. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME TO HELP MY SON AND EVERY OTHER CHILD/YOUNG PERSON THAT NEEDS AND DESERVES ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET FOR THEM.

childs mental health
I totally support your petition and i have signed it. A friend of mine has a son with bi polar and autism and she has ended up in mental care twice because of trying to cope as a single parent with him. They both need help and nothing was done, not even rest bite care until she had a breakdown. He has tried to stab her and burn me with a lighter before. This needs to be addressed in the media def, have you tried Jeramy Kyle he seems pretty good at getting messages across. good luck.x

childhood/young people's mental health
Firstly thankyou so much for signing and supporting my petition. I'm so sorry to hear what your friend has had to go through, its no surprised to me hun that most of it they have had to deal with it on their own, its discusting. my aim is to have help 24hrs a day 7 days a week for every child/young person who has any mental health condition, also for mental health to be taught in school's. I'm doing this petition for EVERY child/young person in England and Wales, its a nation wide problem. Please pass on my link to my petition to everyone you know the more signatures i get the better. I've emailed every tv programe put it on their forum pages ect. many thanks again and please pass on my love to your friend and her family.

I am all for it !
I am all for this petition and support this all the way. I have just signed and going to pass this to others who I know will also back this - with no problems. We do have some members of family with Mental Health where I believe more support should be on hand, there does not seem to be a great deal of it for this, and feel the more that will back this up the better. I have a son with Aspergers Syndrome, he also suffers with high levels of anxiety, and some learning difficulties, where support is also needed throughout here too. My son is 13 years old. I hope this petition succeeds to receive the support that should have been put in place a very long time ago. The very best of luck from me.

Social Services
Hello everyone, This is a field I have had so much stress from. My 13yr old son jumped from a bedroom window in march 2010. I took him straight to hospital and luckily he was unharmed. The hospital at that time said they have a duty to call CHAMS crisis team. They are a joke. Who decided to call in Social Services. My son clearly stated he did it to make his dad feel guilty and make him come back home. My husband had just left the family home and took up the life of drugs and crime. I am so anti drugs I asked him to leave and told him he would not see the children until he changed is attitude and stayed away from these low lives. I am protecting my children. My son was born with serious heart problems and has undergone many heart operations. He is gorgeous. He has vowed never to attempt his life again and he said I thought I would get my own way and my dad would see the light and come home. Since social services became involved they have made him feel guilty , they have placed him and his brother on a child protection register and we have being accused of lying. They are discusting. My sons have always been loved cared for never smacked or anything of this kind. They said its mental cruelty as we dont understand the consequences of divorce. I have also been told its mental cruelty that our family business went into liquidation last year and as a result my son lost his place at private school and we lost our home. I feel we should be alowed to talk in stead of being kept quite. And I also feel that family courts should have a jury as I would have gone to court of such a decision. They lied to get them on a child protection register by saying social services had always being in my childrens lives. This is clearly untrue as they have never ever being a part of my childrens lives ever. They are seriously a law to themselves. I have solicitor who dare not say a word in these child protection meetings this needs changing for every child and parent in the uk.

The way young people with
The way young people with mental health problems are treated is shocking! I went through a rough time recently and was self harming and took overdoses but because of my age(22) they health service didnt know which sector i needed treated in! The whole mental health attitude needs to be changed because no matter what age, what problem, what region you live in, everyone deserves to get the help they need and not have social serivces turn up and make things a million times worse!!
