Hmmph. She might have been mad about the clamping guy pointing out that she was smoking, but he was right. If she was so concerned about her baby, she wouldnt be smoking. The very fact that she had to take tablets to help the pregnancy 'stay' ? should have spurred her into quitting smoking for her babys health. Unpopular as that opinion may be, any pregnant woman who smokes is a disgrace. I spent almost 3 weeks in hospital when I was pregnant, fearing I would have my baby early, and every time I went outside for fresh air, there were pregnant women from the same ward in their PJ's chuffing away outside, and some were smoking outside the Neo Natal ward.

totally agree with you. Its complete nonsence when these women say they cant give up. If your child meant that much to you , you would. I know cause i was a smoker 20 a day but as soon as i got pregnant, the thought of that smoke going into my tiny child was enough to make me throw them in the bin. I never smoked throughout all my pregnancys. they didnt ask to smoke so why make them inhale yours. You do not have your babies best interests at heart if you can smoke while pregnant, i had a friend who lost their child and she was devistated she got pregnant again and we were all so happy for her then i saw her put a fag in her mouth i was lost for words. after losing a child and this one is so precious to her how the hell can you risk smoking??? its beyond me!!!!
