Won a holiday, but couldn't go!

Last year I was fortunate enough to win a Holiday to Butlins in That's Life! magazine. We planned to take our 2 small children, and arranged for my older stepson, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), to stay at our local childrens Hospice while we went away. We had booked a groundfloor appartment as our middle son also has DMD and my wife is a manifesting carrier of DMD. Unfortunately my wife went into hospital the day before we were due to go. I rang Butlins to cancel, and they said that I would lose my money because I didn't take out insurance. Iexplained that the holiday was a prize from That's Life! and would therefore lose nothing. Imagine my surprise when ten minutes later I recieved a call from Butlins to say that they had spoken to That's Life! and the holiday would be held open for another year!! Fantastic. The children are now looking forward to a break at Butlins this May. Many thanks That's Life! You have truely made this family very happy. Michael
